Topic #2 - Pencils

What was your concept for this site?

My concept for this site was to explore the variety of pencils that have been invented over time and express the feel of the pencil.

Drawing #1 had a goal of showcasing the variety of pencils out on the market.	Drawing #2 was an idea for a more elegant pencil site that advertised for the mechanical pencils.	Drawing #3 was inspired by the good old pencil sharpeners from grade school.

Which design did you choose and why?

The design I chose was design #3 for its intuitve navigation and beatiful contrast. I was really inspired by the clean/sharp look juxstiposed against the pencil shavings.

What changes did you make to your revision and why?

Actually I couldn't figure out any changes that I could make to it. It might be due to the fact that I took a good while tweaking in Photoshop the first go around. I really like the contrast in font styles for this design.
